The merger and acquisition of banking industry are a very important issue in Indonesia. Similar to other banking mergers, the mergers will benefit Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), Sharia Business Unit of Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), and all company stakeholders. This study assessing Bank Syariah Indonesia's current business environment, determine company's valuation. This study analyses the environmental aspects of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), both external and internal. Research methodology using quantitative and case study design. This study collects secondary data through various sources. This study computes valuation using Free Cash Flow to Firm (FCFF) and the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) method. The result show that the synergy value of merger valuation between Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) and Sharia Business Unit of Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) is Rp.98,333,621.89. By calculating the synergy value of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) and Sharia Business Unit of Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) merger, management could get additional data from preparation of merger and acquisition process.

Coaching Effectiveness in Ideation of PNL LDP Level 3

This study evaluates the effectiveness of coaching in the Ideation of Leadership Development Program (LDP) Level 3 at PT. PLN (Persero), focusing on Coach-Client Relationship theories (Diller et al., 2022) and the ADKAR model by . It investigates the influence of coach-coachee dynamics, including Working Alliance -Task and Goal, Perceived Empathy, Perceived Need Supportive Behavior, and Closeness, on the success of the coaching process. Additionally, the research assesses the ADKAR model's components (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement) and Team Effectiveness based on Process Criteria (Effort-Related, Strategy-Related, and Knowledge & Skill-Related) in group project facilitation. Utilizing a quantitative approach, online questionnaires were distributed to 19 individuals who met the necessary criteria, including being participants in two coaching sessions of Ideation 3 Batch 5 and holding positions as potential leaders three tiers beneath the board of directors, consisting of Managers in Service Units, Vice Presidents in subsidiaries, and Assistant Vice Presidents. The responses then would be analyzed via IBM SPSS 27.0. Results indicate significant correlations between Coach-Client Relationship, ADKAR model, and Team Effectiveness, enhancing the understanding of coaching in personnel development. This finding highlights the necessity of a well-aligned coaching process to foster effective individual change readiness. Moreover, the finding also reveals that the coaching process extends beyond individual development and has a significant influence on team collaboration and effectiveness. A well-aligned coaching process can more effectively prepare individuals for the transitions and developments required in leadership roles and equip them to contribute positively to team environments. While this study contributes to a better understanding of coaching as a method for people development, there are some limitations concerning the sample and limited time of the study. Future research with a larger and varied sample, across-case data collection, and various additional data is needed. Testing with before-after questionnaires, forum group discussions, and a mixed-method approach would be particularly interesting, including diverse leadership levels and genders.

Metacognitive Strategies Used in Comprehending Reading Academic Texts for Doctoral Students

The importance of metacognitive strategies in achieving proficiency in second or foreign language reading is widely acknowledged. There is a growing interest in the reading of specialized academic literature in a second language. The objective of this study was to examine qualitatively the metacognitive strategies employed by students majoring in English Education during academic reading. Participants involved in this study was seven students in second-year of the Doctoral Program of Makassar State University. The metacognitive strategies employed by the participants were determined through the collection of data integrating journal entries. The results revealed the overall metacognitive strategies used in comprehending academic reading of doctoral students were activated prior knowledge, relating the text to their own experiences, determining the meaning of unfamiliar words, summarizing the information, determining the most important information and what is worth remembering. Only the strategies that were frequently cited by the participants were established or changed by them are addressed in the rest of the study, based on the theory of Flavell (1976).

The Effects of Motivational Factors on Employee Performance: A Case Study on Telecommunication Sector in Nangarhar, Afghanistan

This study evaluates the impact of motivating variables on worker performance in Nangarhar, Afghanistan's telecommunications industry. The data from relevant respondents is gathered using the stratified random sampling technique. The study's sample size consists of 120 workers from Nangarhar telecommunications industry. The study's outcome is analyzed using the basic linear regression technique. Positive correlations have been found between motivating elements and employee performance. This suggests that employee performance will rise in tandem with an increase in motivating factors. The degree of relationship is shown by the correlation's size, which is 73%. This suggests that there is a 73% correlation between motivating factors and employee performance. According to the anticipated positive coefficient of motivating variables, employee performance would climb with every unit increase in these components. With all other variables held constant, an increase of one unit in motivational factors would result in an average improvement in employee performance of 35.4%, according to the magnitude of the coefficient, which is 0.354. The explanatory power of the study's independent variables is indicated by the R-square. The study's Rsquare of 68 percent indicates that the independent factors contributed 68 percent of the variation in the dependent variable. The model's overall relevance or fitness is demonstrated by the F-statistics. Since the model's p-value is less than 5%, the model as a whole is significant.

Religious and Cultural Diversity in Indonesia: Dynamics of Acceptance and Conflict in a Multidimensional Perspective

This study delves into the intricate relationship between religion and cultural diversity and the implementation of religious moderation policies to mitigate conflict potential in Indonesia. Based on a dataset of 1,000 samples distributed across 34 provinces, the findings reveal that newly implemented religious moderation policies can reduce conflict potential by 4.2%. Interestingly, the study also unveils that solidarity and appreciation for local culture have a limited impact on curbing conflict potential while simultaneously giving rise to new forms of collective narcissism. These findings underscore that high acceptance of religious and cultural diversity does not necessarily translate into lower conflict potential. Addressing the underlying issues of national solidarity emerges as a critical challenge that must be confronted to safeguard social harmony in Indonesia.

This study aims to examine the effect of legislative oversight, regulation, technology utilization, and leadership style on budget transparency. This research was conducted based on information obtained from questionnaires distributed to respondents. This research sampling technique uses purposive sampling method. This research uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to 132 local officials who work in the Regional Apparatus Organization of Nagan Raya Regency. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with analysis tools using SPSS 26 software. The results of this study indicate that legislative oversight and leadership style have a positive effect on budget transparency. While regulation and technology utilization have a negative effect on budget transparency.

This research delves into a comprehensive analysis of the risks encountered by Bank Gembira, a notable neobank in Indonesia. Through combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies, this research study identifies and classifies various types of risk, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk. In facilitating the prioritization process, the study makes use of Saaty's Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as instrument. The study highlights the importance of understanding customer behavior in mitigating risks for neobanks and recommends further research on risk assessment in the neobanking sector. The analysis emphasizes the critical role of credit risk and operational risk for Bank Gembira as a neobank. Through AHP calculations, credit default and cyberattacks are identified as the highest priority risks, underscoring the need for robust risk treatment plans to address these high-level risks effectively. Recommendations are proposed to address these risks, such as enhancing credit scoring for P2P lending partners, improving cybersecurity measures, collaborating with regulators, tracking technology updates, partnering with ecommerce platforms, offering promotional programs, developing digital talent programs, and attracting MSMEs customers. Further research on risk assessment in the neobanking sector is suggested to enhance risk management practices and ensure sustainable growth for neobanks like Bank Gembira.

Influence of Dividend Payout Rate on Financial Performance of Selected Listed Companies

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of dividend payout on financial performance of selected companies listed on the NSE, Kenya. The study was guided by the following specific objectives: Establish the effect of dividend payout rate on financial performance, determine the effect of dividend per share on financial performance, examine the effect of dividend yield on financial performance and determine the moderating effect of company size on financial performance of selected companies listed on Nairobi Securities Exchange. The study used longitudinal research design targeting 57 companies listed on NSE as at 31st December 2020. Purposive sampling technique was used on the target population, whereby 18 least performing companies as at 31 st December 2020 were selected. A total of 90 observations were included in the dataset. Secondary data was collected mainly from NSE Handbook 2020-2021 and annual reports of the companies over five years from 2016 to 2020. The analysis involved both descriptive and inferential statistics. An empirical estimation was then carried out involving testing for stationarity of the variables, cointegration and estimating the cointegrating relation. It was expected that the output of this study provided a basis for Board of Directors and managers of companies in Kenya, Investors, Government agencies and regulatory bodies to make an informed decision and develop policies for investments. The study came with findings, made conclusions and appropriate recommendations. Based on the findings, the study concluded that dividend payout rate led to an increase in ROA of selected companies listed on Nairobi's Securities Exchange. Therefore, dividend payout rate had a positive and significant effect on financial performance of selected companies listed on Nairobi's Securities Exchange. When companies enhance dividend payout, there is a likelihood of improved financial performance of selected companies listed on NSE, Kenya. The study recommended that companies listed at NSE should ensure that the dividend payout rate is aligned with the company's long-term strategic objectives. For instance, a mature, stable company may prioritize regular dividends to reward shareholders, while a growth-oriented company may reinvest profits for expansion. Furthermore, the study recommends that the government should support companies by ensuring that there are sound decision practices on dividend payout policy for the sustainability of companies. This study should be used by academicians to understand how well management allocates profits between reinvestment and shareholders returns. Dividend payout rate can be used to tell a company's financial health and examine key financial metrices. Suggestions for further studies to be carried out in the entire East Africa Region to assess the establishment of companies in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and Rwanda, and then compare the results of those listed companies in the region. Also, more studies should be carried out in the future to investigate the effect that dividend policy contain on the expansion of the economy.

This study comprehensively investigated the antioxidant properties and antibacterial activity of breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) bark and leaf extract against two common bacterial strains, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli. The objective was to assess the potential therapeutic applications of breadfruit extract in combating bacterial infections caused by these organisms. The researchers employed an experimental research design, utilizing controlled experiments to evaluate the effects of breadfruit extract on the target bacteria. Both the bark and leaf parts of the breadfruit plant were examined in the study. The extracts were subjected to analysis to identify and quantify the presence of beneficial compounds. The analysis revealed the presence of various compounds, including but not limited to Phenolic Acid and Flavonoids, which are known for their potential health benefits and antioxidant properties. These compounds were found to be present in relatively high concentrations, suggesting the potential of breadfruit extract as a source of natural antioxidants. In terms of antibacterial activity, the breadfruit leaf extract exhibited promising results by demonstrating significant inhibitory effects against both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. In contrast, the bark extract showed limited effectiveness against Escherichia coli but displayed some inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus. These findings suggest that breadfruit extract may have potential as a natural antimicrobial agent, particularly in combating Staphylococcus aureus infections.

Integration between functions in hotels, especially information dissemination in formulating policies to increase innovation capabilities, is important to pay attention to. It is important to develop a risk-taking attitude to improve service recovery. Recovery strategies are important to pay attention to in efforts to improve service quality. The role of market orientation needs to be followed by innovation capability to improve service recovery.

The Effect of Extensive and Intensive Reading Strategies on EFL Learners' Vocabulary Improvement

This study investigated the impact of extensive and intensive reading strategies on vocabulary development on EFL learners. The study was conducted at English department, Education Faculty, Kandahar University. The design of the study was inferential experimental, where pre-and post-tests were used to measure improvement in vocabulary improvement. The subjects of the study were first-year freshmen and night shift students. A total of 50 Afghan EFL students were selected based on their performance on placement test. The participants in the experimental group got extensive reading, and the control group got intensive reading, respectively. The experimental group and control group received 100-minutes per week. The collected data were analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) software using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study revealed that the vocabulary was improved from 83 to 93 in extensive reading and from 81 to 92 in intensive reading, which shows that there is significance increase in scores for intensive and extensive reading respectively.

This Naturally Fractured Reservoir (NFR) is become challenging to identify the behavior of performance in fluid flow in producing well at SF oil Field. Generally, this unique of mechanism that cannot be treated as homogenous reservoir, because has two porous media in this reservoir such as matrix and fracture, the dominantly fluid flow comes from the networks of fractures, but for matrix porous media as function of source that transfer fluid to the fractures. This complexity of reservoir needs deepest investigate the characteristic of this reservoir and estimating the reservoir parameter such as permeability fracture, storativity coefficient ratio (omega) and interporosity flow coefficient (lamda) of SF production wells at SF oil Field are the main objective of this study. There are two wells that are analyzed in this study, and the result of this study yields significant interpretation by analyzing the production data in order to approximate the characteristic of dual porosity in naturally fractured oil reservoir by applying the decline rate type curve matching.

BPJS Kesehatan, the implementing body of the JKN Programme, is confronted with the challenge of maintaining program sustainability due to a significant number of inactive participants in the PBPU segment, a situation primarily attributed to the organization's low brand equity. The primary research objective of this study is to To develop integrated marketing communication strategy to increase BPJS Kesehatan brand equity. The methodelogy used is qualitative and quantitative research. Despite possessing commendable competitive advantages and offering the most affordable healthcare options, BPJS Kesehatan's struggle stems from deficiencies in marketing communication. Internally, the organization recognizes its potential to build brand equity but acknowledges a gap in marketing communication effectiveness and message coherence. Externally, the PBPU segment exhibits low brand equity, notably in terms of loyalty and awareness towards the JKN program. The identified target demographic for BPJS Kesehatan within the PBPU segment includes individuals aged 18-35, residing in urban and densely populated areas, with an upper-class socioeconomic status. While these individuals generally express trust in BPJS Kesehatan, they lack awareness of the program details. To address these challenges, a recommended strategy involves implementing an Integrated Marketing Communication approach with a specific theme: "ease of health insurance, which is reliable." Key messages emphasizing affordability, accessibility, quality, value, convenience, technology, and social impact should be conveyed. Utilizing diverse marketing channels such as television, online video, social media campaigns, mobile app optimization, and events can enhance communication effectiveness. Additionally, BPJS Kesehatan should consider developing supplementary benefits to augment services and increase participant loyalty. It is also crucial to empower employees to serve as effective communicators, enhancing their assertive communication skills to bolster the organization's overall communication strategy.

This study aims to examine the complex dynamics involved in adjudicating violence against women (VAW) cases within urban settings in Bangladesh, with a focus on the determinants that affect conviction outcomes. Adopting a qualitative research methodology, this inquiry gathers insights from in-depth interviews with 17 key stakeholders, including judges, lawyers, and police officials, within the metropolitan areas of northern Bangladesh. This primary data is further enriched by field observations (court, police station, medical college, and victim support center). The investigation reveals significant procedural deficiencies and systemic challenges encountered during the pre-trial stages of violence against women (VAW) litigation. These include delays in filing complaints, inaccuracies in First Information Reports (FIRs), lapses in evidence preservation, lack of witness cooperation, and discrepancies in medical documentation. The study identifies overarching issues such as inadequate training for investigative officers, substandard evidence collection practices, and the scarcity of forensic expertise as pivotal factors that negatively influence conviction rates. Furthermore, it emphasizes the crucial yet strained role of public prosecutors, who grapple with excessive caseloads, insufficient resources, and a lack of specialized support. This research contributes novel insights into the complexities of prosecuting violence against women (VAW) cases in Bangladesh's urban centers, highlighting critical inefficiencies within its criminal justice system.

Remaining Life Assessment of Kotabaru 2x7 MW Coal Fired Power Plant Circulating Water A252 Gr 2 Intake Pipe by Inspection Method

Kotabaru power plant is a power plant that was built in 2010 and currently the construction work is pending. The construction work stopped in 2014 and based on Kotabaru power plant construction final quantity report, Kotabaru construction work progress is 79,61% up to now. Kotabaru power plant uses open cooling system and takes seawater as cooling water resources. The seawater distribute through intake pipeline which use A252 grade 2 material 600 mm and 800 mm diameter pipeline with 3PL coating and rubber lining inside the pipe. The pipeline distribute the water in 3.184.739 kg/hr flow rate and 5 kg/cm 2 G pressure. These pipeline material was on site in 2013 and it was not constructed yet. In 2022 Kotabaru power plant is planned to continue the construction work progress. It was about 9 years of pipeline material on Kotabaru power plant site and these pipeline is exposed to the environment such as sunlight, temperature, oxygen, water, and contaminants and cause a primer failure, especially ultraviolet light (UV) from the sunlight is the main damaging factor. Ultraviolet light from sunlight is high enough to break the coating of pipeline. Inspection and assess the pipeline can help the management to figure out pipeline actual condition. More effective inspections can reduce the risk level by reducing the frequency of future failures, through corrective and preventive action. In general, the purpose of this method is classify all risk level equipment, calculate the risk value of all equipment and it can help to make a decision to the next construction period. The service lifetime of pipeline prediction can be determined by actual pipe condition by use corrosion test and actual thickness dimension of the pipeline. This method will inform the life time prediction of the pipeline that should be meet the 15 years life time required and also inform the risk matrix value of all pipeline equipment on the site.

Development of TPACK-Based Teaching Materials on Biodiversity Subject to Measure Students' Critical Thinking Skills

Teaching materials are auxiliary elements employed to accomplish the goals of the educational process. The observed fact reveals a deficiency in teaching materials that incorporate Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) for the purpose of developing students' critical thinking abilities. Thus, there is a want for an instructional resource that may assist pupils in enhancing their critical thinking abilities. The objective of this project is to provide TPACK-based teaching materials on biodiversity that are credible, effective, and practical. In addition to elucidating students' critical thinking abilities through the utilization of TPACK-based instructional resources. The methodology employed in this study is Research and Development (R&D) utilizing the ADDIE paradigm. The tool employed is a questionnaire sheet for the purpose of validating materials and media. The study yielded data indicating that teaching materials centered around Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) were valid and appropriate for learning purposes in the context of Biodiversity. The validity includes a material validation score of 91.25% and a media score of 96.42%, with an N-Gain of 0.75, indicating strong testing performance. Therefore, it can be inferred that educational resources rooted in Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and focused on the topic of Biodiversity have a positive impact on students' ability to think critically.

Various advanced techniques are used in rehabilitation to improve arm and hand function, which are essential for independent daily life. These techniques include Virtual Reality, Robotic devices, Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy to Mirror Therapy. Telerehabilitation, biofeedback, and wearable sensor methods primarily target neurological impairments such as paresis and spasticity by activating neural circuits or influencing peripheral effectors. However, CIMT, particularly in its modified expression, restrains the non-affected arm and simultaneously trains the affected limb, which is most effective in improving upper limb function. Mirror Therapy, which may also be applied to severely paralyzed limbs, offers several benefits. Nonetheless, newer technologies are costlier and more complicated while simultaneously limiting access, particularly to patients residing at a distance. In this regard, tele-rehabilitation appears to be a functional alternative that uses telecommunication networks, making therapy affordable and accessible.

Revitalizing Banking: An In-Depth Analysis of Business Model Performance in Indonesian Digital Banking – Neo-Banks Vs Unit Business Banks

The study uses the Independent Test Analysis approach to calculate the business model bank performance of Indonesian commercial banks, focusing on digital banks. The research uses quarterly reports from 2020 to 2023 to collect secondary data. The study includes Digital Banks in Indonesia, including 4 neo-banks and 14 unit business banks. The results show a significant difference in bank business model performance between unit business banks and neo-banks. The Non-Interest Income (NII) results show no significant difference, but the mean results show a slight difference in performance. The author assumes that unit business banks have a diverse and comprehensive ecosystem in banking activities due to their wider scope of business activities compared to neo-banks.

In the current corporate world, assessing a company's sustainability performance is very important for investors, stakeholders, and policymakers. The TRST01's ESG (Environmental. Social and Governance) Scoring Model introduces an innovative approach integrating beta-based financial metrics with advanced machine learning techniques to comprehensively evaluate ESG credentials. This study demonstrates the development and application of the TRST01's ESG scoring model, which leverages data from the most reputable sources such as MSCI and S&P Global to ensure its reliability and accuracy. The model's unique methodology involves calculating country-specific beta values to normalize carbon emission data, thereby providing a standardized metric for meaningful comparisons across countries. Further, ESG scores are adjusted using both country and company beta values to reflect specific risk exposures, enhancing the precision and relevance of the assessments. The model ensures robust input data quality, by taking Market capital, Scope 1, Scope 2, industry wise data and beta values as predictors through extensive data preprocessing and encoding categorical variables for top 1000 listed companies. A comparative analysis of Traditional model such as Simple Linear Regression (SLR) and multiple Machine Learning (ML) models, including Gradient Boosting (GB), Support Vector Regression (SVR), and Random Forest (RF), demonstrates that the Gradient Boosting model achieves superior performance with minimal overfitting and consistent prediction accuracy. The study employs a comprehensive evaluation framework using various metrics such as Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and R-squared, supplemented by detailed visualizations of actual vs. predicted values, residuals, and error distributions. This research underscores the significance of incorporating advanced financial metrics and machine learning techniques in ESG assessments, providing a reliable, accurate, and holistic framework for understanding corporate sustainability. The TRST01 ESG Scoring Model sets a new standard in sustainability evaluation, offering valuable insights for stakeholders committed to integrating sustainability into core business strategies.

Knowing How, Knowing Why, Knowing Whom: Examining the Alignment of the MBA Programs with the Intelligent Career Theory Framework (ICTF)

This study explored the relationship between the Intelligent Career Theory framework (ICTF) and the MBA's Program Educational Objectives (PEO). Employing a self-reported questionnaire survey with 11 MBA graduates from the past five years, the research examined graduates' perceptions of the program's effectiveness in fostering skills and knowledge aligned with the core ICTF components: Knowing Why (Intrinsic motivation and career goals), Knowing How (Knowledge & skills), and Knowing Whom (professional networks & mentors). Pearson's correlation coefficients were utilized to analyze the relationship between these ICTF components and the program's PEOs. The Permutations were employed to deal with the limitations of a small sample. The significant correlation between the ICTF components and PEOs with the relative strength of know-why and weakness of know-whom provide insight into the program's alignment with career intelligence development. Recommendations for curriculum improvement and ongoing program evaluation based on the ICTF framework are presented. This study highlights the value of ICTF as a tool for enhancing MBA programs and empowering graduates for successful careers.
